SCOUTING FOR FOOD

Scouting for Food is the largest community service food drive in our area involving Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers.  Please join our community partner Gate City Bank and ND First Lady Betsy Dalrymple, the 2012 Scouting for Food Chair, in this good turn service project to collect food and restock the shelves of local food banks.  For more information and to sign your unit up to participate, please contact your local District Executive.

The Northern Lights Council annual Scouting for Food drive is one way in which we can make a large impact on a very serious problem occurring in each one of our local communities.  Starting March 17 – 24 Scouts are encouraged to take part in our 2012 community service project Scouting for Food.

Annually, the Northern Lights collects nearly 100,000 lbs of food for local food pantries during the Scouting for Food drive.  To see the difference that our Scouts can make in just one short week is truly astonishing.  Thank you for your Unit’s participation in this very important community service project.

NEW THIS YEAR:   SCOUTING FOR FOOD PATCHES PICTURED ABOVE.  Every youth who participates in Scouting for Food will earn a patch. To receive the patch, Unit leaders must fill out and submit the Scouting for Food Report Form.
