2012 Unit Candy Bar Sales

    This will guide you through the sale and gives great suggestions on selling methods.

• The Candy Sale will run from February 10 to March 20
• We are going to have a choice of 2 wrapped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups or 2 wrapped Hershey’s  Bars
• There are 9 wrapped Hershey’s  and 12 wrapped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups per case
• Boy Scouts will earn $1.35 for each wrapped candy bars
• Cub Scouts will earn $1.15 for each wrapped candy bar and will  earn prizes biased on the number of cases sold
• There will be prize drawings during the sale for Scouts biased on selling full cases

• No risk to units. Return any unsold cases!

Product

The Hershey Milk Chocolate bar and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups have been selected for this year’s sale.  This product was chosen after researching available products and receiving input from units that sold candy in 2011.  There will be 2 King Size Bars wrapped together, this bar is sure to sell itself! As in past years, coupons will be wrapped around each bar.

A Great Way to Pay for Camp!

Many Packs and Troops encourage their Scouts to sell candy to earn their way to Cub Scout Day Camp, Boy Scout Camp, Cub Resident Camp, Webelos Camp or even a High Adventure Trip. If your unit treasury needs are met, this is a great way to help your Scouts get to camp!

Unit Commissions

Commissions are $1.15 per bar for Cub Scouts.  Cub Scout will also be able to earn prizes off of a prize sheet that will be mailed to each Cub Scout. Commission for Boy Scouts is $1.35 per bar.

Selling Price is $5.00

The wrapped candy bars will sell for $5.00 per bar. 

Cub Scouts Earn Prizes

Cub Scouts begin to earn prizes when they sell their very first case!  Prize brochures will be mailed out to each Cub Scout.  Encourage the Scouts to set a goal for the prize they want to earn.

Prizes in 2012!!

Scouts who sell full cases of candy will be entered in to a drawing for gift cards to Walmart and Best Buy, Free trips to Summer Camp, and a Nintendo Wii. The drawing will be on March 28, 2012.

Return All Unsold Candy

Each Pack, Troop or Crew checks out the number of cases they believe they can sell.  After the sales period, all full cases can be returned for full credit.  This is a no risk, no left over sale for your unit!
