We will be taking an all day canoe trip down the Crow Wing River on Saturday, May 16th or August 15th.   We will start at Shell City campground and end at Huntersville. The trip is approximately 8 miles long. Canoes, paddles, and lifejackets will be provided. Space is limited for this event so sign-up early. May 15 - 17, 2009 Shooting Sports Competition Weekend

For the first time ever, we will be having a competition for rifle shooting, shotgun shooting at clay targets, and archery. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. The morning will be used for practice and the afternoon and evening will be the competition. Space is limited to 25 for each event so make sure you sign-up early. June 13, 2009 High Ropes Course, Low Ropes Course, Climbing Tower & Fishing

For this fun-filled day, your group can sign-up for one of the 4 activities. Only 12 Venturers can participate in the High Ropes Course. Tenting is available if you would like to stay on site. Additional meals are available during the weekend for $5 per person. Space is limited for each event so make sure you sign-up early. August 2 - 6, 2009 Venture Camp

This 5 day event is designed for Venture crews to enjoy the pristine setting of Camp Wilderness and participate in High Adventure programs. Some activities include high ropes course, climbing tower, sailing, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, archery, and rifle shooting. Crews will also have the opportunity to work on recognition for the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. Register by filling out the enclosed form and mail it to the Fargo Service Center.

September 19 - 20, 2009 Low and High Ropes Course Weekend

This action packed weekend is a great confidence builder for any Venturer.  As a team you will work through the low ropes course and then the high ropes course will challenge you as an individual. Space is limited for each event so make sure you sign-up early. Check-in starts on Saturday morning so Venture Scouts can still participate in school activities on Friday night.
