Spend 4 days and 3 nights fishing, shooting, camping, canoeing and boating at Camp Wilderness in Minnesota’s North Woods.   

Under the supervision of the experienced Camp Wilderness staff, girls and boys ages 11 through 16 can enjoy fishing for Large Mouth Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, pan fish and even Muskie.

Facilities:

Camp Wilderness has 2,400 pristine acres of lakes and trees.  Wildlife abounds throughout the camp.  Loons, ospreys, Bald Eagles, deer, otters, mink, bear, and raccoons all live on the camp property.

While at Fishing Camp, you will sleep in one of the Camp’s tents and eat in the Dinning Hall.  Hot showers are centrally located and the Camp Trading Post offers snacks and souvenirs.

Staff:

The staff is experienced and well trained.  Each summer nearly 3,000 youth enjoy a camping experience under their supervision.  Qualified medical personnel are available in camp at all times.

Fees:

The cost of this exciting program is only $160 per camper!  If you are under age 16, you do not need a fishing license.  If you are 16 you need to purchase a Minnesota fishing license prior to arriving in camp.

Program Items:

Bait, tackle and other fishing equipment are included in the camp fee.  If you have your own fishing equipment, please bring it with you.  You are responsible for your own personal items, sleeping bag, rain gear, etc…

Program Activities:

This camp program is packed with activities, campers will do the following:

• Learn to operate a boat and motor
• Fish from the camp’s large fishing pier
• Canoe
• Swim
• Fish on area lakes with experienced guides
• Learn to shoot a bow and arrow
• Learn to shoot a shotgun at clay pigeons
• Enjoy campfires
• Fish independently on Bad Axe Lake using a motor boat

Note: Campers must pass the camp swim test in order to participate in   boating, canoeing, and swimming.

Camp Wilderness is located 17 miles north of Park Rapids, Minnesota.
