How to Help Your Council - For Generations to Come
The Northern Lights Council, Boy Scouts of America has an Endowment Fund that was founded to provide a source of permanent financial support for future generations. Gifts benefit all facets of the program including support to traditional youth membership, adult leader training, youth outreach, children with disabilities, the Scout Service Centers, and camping facilities. The money in the Endowment Trust Fund is carefully invested. The Council has a volunteer investment committee that has developed an investment strategy and monitors fund performance. The purpose of an endowment fund is to never spend the principal of the fund.
