CUB SCOUT LEADER TRAINING
If you have a number of leaders that need training please call Donna at 320 808 1056. Give the boys the program they expect. Get trained.
NEW UNIT ORGANIZATION
If anyone in the District knows of an organization looking for a program that helps teach the values and leadership that the Boys Scouts strive to develop in young people please tell them about the Scouting Program and then call me so I can follow up with a friendly visit. The more units we have in the district the better chance all of the boys will have the chance to be a Scout. With everyone’s help we can make it happen.
There are new incentives for new units that are formed between September and June of 2008. Let’s all work to make sure all of the boys and girls in the Lakes district get the opportunity to be involved in a Pack, Troop, or Venture Crew.
Let me know if you have any ideas for new units in the Lakes District.
CANDY BAR SALE
You can call Jim Stratton if you’re Pack or Troop would like to sell candy bars. It is a great way for the boys to earn their way to day camp. Those units selling in the Alexandria area can please contact Wilma Johnson to pick up your candy at Calvary Lutheran church.
HOOKED ON SCOUTING
This spring we will be recruiting Kindergarten boys for our summer hooked on program.
The first event will be hosted by Morris Pack for the boys in the southern half of the district. Look for fliers and more information in the mail soon.
The Packs will be contacted if there are any boys in your area that want to join. This is where you can meet some of your new Cub Scouts before next fall.
