Scouting´s Not Just for Kids!
Volunteer Today!

It´s easy for adults to become a part of Scouting.  As a volunteer Scout leader, you will have the opportunity to work with youth and their families, help improve your community through community service projects and enrich the lives of the families who are involved in Scouting's worthwhile programs that teach values. By making the commitment to serve as a leader you can help make a positive difference – the youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow!

Thousands of volunteer leaders, both men and women, are involved in the Scouting movement in the Northern Lights Council.  They serve in a variety of jobs— unit leaders; to members of troop, district, and council committees; merit badge counselors; unit and district commissioners and chartered organization representatives, to name a few.  Every leader has the opportunity to participate in leadership and skills training, access to a vast library of helpful literature, and a support network of fellow leaders and full-time professionals in the Scouting organization.
