ROUNDTABLE

Don’t miss the fellowship and info sharing at ROUNDTABLE the 1st Thursday of every month in Minot. We gather at Bethany Lutheran Church, 215 3rd Ave SE, at 7:00 PM for the festivities. Everyone is invited and there is something new each month. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet others in the same boat and share ideas.

RECHARTER NIGHT

Did your charter online? Printed it out? Have the signatures? What Now? Bring it to the office on recharter night. The Minot Office will be open late on February 16th so you can turn in your paperwork and have it sent to Fargo. We will make sure all the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed so that your unit is on time. Don’t forget this year your charter must be on time so you qualify for Centennial Quality Unit as well as FREE Advancement. Don’t miss this opportunity and remember there is no penalty for early turn in.

KLONDIKE HIKE 2010

Join the fun at the Minot Parks District Bison Plant on 13 February with sign in beginning at 7:30 AM. This will of challenges and trials for every Scout. Make sure your Scouts are attired for the snow and temperatures as this event will be held regardless. Remember the Scout Motto “BE PREPARED”.

DISTRICT RECOGNITION DINNER

Cost is $15.00 per person. Nomination forms have been emailed to all units so take a few minutes and nominate someone from your Units to receive an award.

DISTRICT PINEWOOD DERBY

The Annual District Pinewood Derby will be held at the Sleep Inn on 23 January. Pack 412 of Minot is the Host Unit this year and registration forms have been sent to every pack. Any Cub Scout can participate and enjoy the FUN. We will have an Outlaw class for those that want to partake after the regular races are completed. Plan now to make a day of it at Sleep Inn and the Dakota Square Mall.

100 AND STILL GOING STRONG

The week of 7 – 13 February is the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts of America. Do something special to mark this milestone like an article in your newspaper about Scouts, or a Report to the Mayor on what Scouts are doing in your community or maybe a flag ceremony at school or city council. Help us be seen and make others aware that Scouts are 100 and still kickin’.
