Tiger Cubs is a one-year Scouting program for a first-grade boy (or age 7) and an adult family member. The boy and adult register together. The adult can be a parent, an aunt or uncle, a grandmother or grandfather, or even an adult brother or sister. The boy and adult partner work and play together, selecting projects from a broad range of suggested activities to complete the 15 requirements within these areas to earn the “Tiger Cub Badge.” The requirements consist of an exciting series of indoor and outdoor activities just right for a boy in the first grade.
The Tiger Cub Program introduces boys and their adult partners to the excitement of Cub Scouting. Here’s how it works . . . a boy and his adult partner are called a TEAM. Five to nine Tiger Cub Teams make up a DEN. A Tiger Cub DEN works on a SHARED LEADERSHIP model (which means all the parents take turns planning meetings!).
Tiger Cubs dens meeting twice a month and are urged to attend monthly Pack meetings. |
