2021 Cub Scout Adventure Camp

At Butler Wilderness Outpost & Heart Butte Scout Reservation

Cub Scouts of all ages , parents and leaders spend four days and three nights having fun outdoors! Planning is underway right now to make the 2021 camp the highlight of the year for our Cub Scouts.

Butler Wilderness Outpost

Youth and parents have the opportunity at Butler Wilderness Outpost to learn and enjoy outdoor, overnight camping. Cub Adventure Camp provides many different activities for Scouts including archery, swimming, and fishing. Come experience Camp filled with opportunities to advance in Scouting, laugh with friends, and develop new skills.

Heart Butte Scout Reservation

Located southwest of Bismarck on Lake Tschida, packs will be using a campsite for a fun packed weekend. This event includes archery, BB guns, nature, games, swimming, fishing, and opportunities for scouting advancement.

Camperships are available for any Cub Scout that needs assistance.

 

Butler Wilderness Outpost

  • Session 1: July 5-8
  • Session 2: July 9-12
  • Session 3: July 12-15
  • Session 4: July 16-19
  • Session 5: July 19-22
  • Session 6: July 23-26
  • Session 7: July 26-29

Register 50% of your Cub Scout Pack, or 10 Cub Scouts, whichever is less & all Cub Scouts included in that registration will get $10 off!

2021 Cub Scout Twilight / Day Camps

These camps are for registered Cub Scouts entering grades 1-5 the following school year. Cub Scouts may attend any of the camps listed below and may also attend Cub Adventure Camp at Heart Butte Scout Reservation or Butler Wilderness Outpost at Camp Wilderness.

New in 2021

The Northern Lights Council will have a Camp Director and Program Director that will travel around the council, working with local volunteers to conduct the camps.

Twilight Camp and Day Camp

  • Twilight Camp will be held in the evening (5:00 pm to 9:30 pm)
  • Day Camp will be held in the daytime (8:00 am to Noon)

Overnight Option

  • To reduce travel, Cub Scouts can stay overnight with a parent for no additional fee

Open Schedule

  • Cub Scouts from the same pack with leaders OR Cub Scouts with a parent, can do the activities in any order they choose
  • With the exception of crafts, Cub Scouts can do each activitiy as many times as they want
  • Can't stay from the start time all the way until the end time - that's ok. There is no set schedule, so arrive and leave when you need to

  • Archery Range
  • BB Gun Range
  • Sling Shot Range
  • Cooking
  • Earth Science (Nature)
  • Weird Science
  • Wood Crafts
  • Leather Crafts
  • Cub Scouts that attend more than one day will work on a second wood craft and leather craft project

  • Cub Scouts are encouraged to attend Day Camp in Frontier Trails or Cub Adventure Camp at Heart Buttee or Butler Wilderness Outpost

Tomahawk District (11)

  • July 14-15, Big 4 Scout Camp, 900 52th St, Minot ND 58703

Frontier Trails District (13)

  • July 8-9 (Bismarck area)
  • July 26-27 (Bismarck area)

Great Plains District (14)

  • July 10-11 (Williston area)
